The Consignment Release Permit (CRP), issued by Dubai Customs and Dubai Municipality, allows the release of imported consignments into the Dubai market, ensuring compliance with local and national rules.
Import permits must be closed within three months, and re-export permits must be closed within six months of their release date. Failure to meet these deadlines can result in severe penalties, including company blacklisting and fines.

Documents Required
When you apply for consignment release permit registration with the Dubai Municipality, make sure you adhere to their standards and guidelines. Here’s a list of documents that are mandatory for registration:
Customs Declaration
The primary requirement is to register the food product with the Dubai Municipality. The DM registers all food products through its Food Import & Re-export System (FIRS).
Airway Bill/ Bill of Lading
This important document verifies the ownership and transportation specifics of the shipped goods. It should provide the essential details needed for the consignment release process.
Packing List
This itemized list should specify all contents within the consignment. It helps authorities verify the shipped items against the declared list.
Purchase Invoice
The proof of purchase for the imported health supplements confirms the transaction details and value of the consignment
Trade License
A trade license is a valid license issued by the relevant regulatory authority in the UAE that confirms the legitimacy of the importing entity.
Accurate Test Reports
This document carries scientific evidence from accredited laboratories showing the quality and conformity of the health supplements. This report is important for ensuring product safety.
Additional Documents
You might need additional certificates or documents to fulfill specific regulatory requirements depending on the nature of the consignment.
